Leycesteria Gold Leaf is a seed raised form and is not the patented one. It is similar in habit to the species Leycesteria formosa, but a little les vigorous, and the leaves are a deep gold colour with red tinges. The foliage is a good contrast to the purple bracts around the flowers.
